President
Yaacov Golan is president and founder of C Lighting. Golan opened his store in 2000 and his business has expanded significantly over the years to offer one of the most comprehensive and contemporary lighting collections in the country. Born and raised in Israel, Golan served seven years in the Israeli Navy as an electrical engineer. He went on to design the lighting for the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, where his passion for light and design took root. He came to the U.S. in 1994 opening stores in the San Francisco Bay area. In addition to his retail business, he managed several lighting design projects. After seeing an opportunity in Atlanta, he relocated here in 1999 laying the groundwork for his C Lighting creation. A skilled lighting designer, Golan is a frequent lecturer at local design schools and colleges. He also serves as an advisor to many major lighting manufacturers around the world. Golan sees lighting as something spiritual; affecting people’s lives and moods. Through beautiful lighting, he hopes to enhance a setting and give new perspective to life.
